Barry
and I met through a series of fortunate circumstance, the planets
aligned, everything was right in the world, girls were dancing
in playgrounds and there were no mistakes.
We began working at the Station Gallery Boxcar studio exploring
imagery that dealt with mystery. Confined to black and white I
worked with paper stencils and spraypaint to fashion these strange
figures - performing perplexing actions in a world of their own.
Barry criticised my technique or lack of it and I refused to listen
to him - that is the nature of our collaboration. It was fun -
we played and these prints are the result. I haven't looked at
them for a long time, but I enjoy seeing them again. I'm sure
someone else made them!
Barry has ventured off into the cyber - world and I've stumbled
into the job as Director of the Visual Arts Centre of Clarington.
Let's get together for a beer.
