We arrived at Langdon, a suburban town east of Calgary, and camped out on my brother and sister-in-law's driveway.
I now remember the theme of the trip conceived three years ago and interrupted for the past 2 summers: The Friendship Tour. The concept of the sketching trip had evolved into something like: People and Places or People and their Places or People and the Land. I'm not sure, it's a concept.

Pepper, the family dog, was not well. She was congested and had an infection in her paws. Wayne washed her feet daily and fed her prescribed medications.
Mary's sister, Sue, has a great collection of objects which she uses to accent her gardens.
Wayne makes garden sculpture constructions from metal, wood, and found objects.

I like the collaboration they did on a birdhouse. A pair of birds, raising a family, liked it too.
Later Mary's brother Al and his wife, Nancy, came for dinner.
