Aphrodite, sobbing, begged Ares for his war car which he lent her.  Iris, the rainbow, took the reins and drove to Olympus.

Aphrodite collapsed on her mother, Dione, and condemned the Greeks for warring against the gods.  While Dione soothed and healed Aphrodite, she told stories of the times that gods had been wounded.  The wound healed quickly.

Hera and Athena made fun of Aphrodite.   Zeus advised her to leave war to Ares and Athena and keep to herself to the domain of love and marriage.
