Bearing the speakers staff, fashioned by the lame craftsman god Hephaistos, Agamemnon called a council.   After telling the dream of success for that day, he suggested that they disband and return home.  The army leap to their ships and began preparations for launching home.

Odysseus ran after the captains yelling, telling them to return their men to the council and reminded them of their king's dream of victory.
